Optimize your aging body to free your youthful spirit.

The mission of Ageless Medical Solutions is to promote wellness from the outside in and the inside out. We offer services often not covered by traditional medical insurance, which is based on disease state coverage. The “outside in” services include non-surgical alternatives to face-lift, many facial aesthetic services like Botox Cosmetic, Restylane® collagen injections and laser light source rejuvenation. We also offer facial cosmeceutical products and vitamin supplements. “Inside out” services may include the use of Bio-identical Hormone Therapy, medications, and customized weight management programs.

Chronic conditions we can help with…

Cholesterol

Hyperlipidemia or high cholesterol is a known risk factor for coronary heart disease and stroke. Because we know that only 50% of people that die of heart attacks have abnormal cholesterol, we do “advanced lipid testing” to find newer risk factors for heart disease and modify lifestyle and recommend nutraceutical and/or pharmaceutical medications accordingly.

Weight Loss Management

At Ageless Medical Solutions, the physician-lead clinical team performs a comprehensive assessment of the multiple reasons why an individual may have gained weight.  Oftentimes, there is a psychological component, such as using simple carbohydrates like simple starches to feel good temporarily, a social component where, for example, a family’s main focal point of connection is “eating out”, and most importantly physical and physiological reasons for weight loss resistance that we specialize in uncovering and managing.

The physical and physiological reasons for which we employ state-of-the-art medical testing are food sensitivities and hormonal imbalances. Rarely, do we have to use FDA-approved medications that assist in weight loss such as phentermine hydrochloride (Adipex-P ® or Suprenza ®) or topiramate ((Topamax®)  or combination phentermine hydrochloride/topiramate (Qsymia). If these weight loss medications are employed, they are used in conjunction with a comprehensive program of hormone balancing, exercise, food elimination based on food sensitivity testing, psychological support and appropriate nutraceuticals (vitamins) and protein shakes to fortify body during the food elimination and restrictive phase. We do activity journaling which has shown to increase the success of permanent weight loss.

Heart Disease

Heart disease in the form of coronary artery disease or blockages of the arteries is caused by numerous factors that can be modified. If you are at high risk based on family history or already are known to have coronary artery disease, it would benefit you to learn the newer more aggressive ways of detecting early heart disease and/ or stabilizing “plaque” in the coronary arteries. Contact us to discuss a lifestyle regimen to minimize your risk for heart attack and stroke.

Mental Health

Natural management of anxiety and depression Oftentimes, gut health is related to mood disorders. Researchers initially found this to be the case with autistic children. There is often a gut disturbance. There are more neurotransmitters (chemical messengers for the nerves) in the gut than the brain. Healthy GI health is of utmost importance in the natural management of mood disorders. Nutritional evaluation and hormone evaluation is also critically important as is sleep hygiene and stress management.

Before starting psychiatric medication, please have a thorough evaluation of your gut health, nutritional status, hormone status and stress management. Oftentimes, you can feel well just by balancing these pillars of health without untoward side effects of pharmaceutical medication such as fluoxetine (pharmaceutical Prozac ® or Seraphim ® ) such as lack of libido and weight gain.

Type 2 Diabetes & Fatigue

Diabetes causes “oxidative” stress or essentially rusting to every cell in the body. In addition because of the inefficient use of energy, even in it’s very earliest stages, a pre-diabetic feels fatigued. The energy factory in the body is not as efficient as possible. We will show you how to make it run more efficiently.

Hormone Replacement Therapy and Diabetes for Women

Balanced hormones in women help restore normal sleep patterns and energy. Very often weight and appetite that were out of control in the peri-menopausal transition (the few years leading up to the complete cessation of menstrual periods), get in control with hormone balancing and thus, one “side-effect” of hormone balancing is weight and fat loss which in turn decrease the risk of “insulin resistance” and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Hormone Replacement Therapy and Diabetes for Men

There are large scale Veteran’s Administration (VA) studies linking optimization of testosterone with reversal of metabolic syndrome which is considered a precursor state to Type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is thought that testosterone helps to optimize lean muscle, the more lean muscle, the less “insulin resistance” which is part of the pathological state of Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Hypertension

Hypertension or high blood pressure is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke. It is caused by genetic factors acted upon by environmental factors such as nutrition, exercise and stress. Contact us to discuss how to maximize the control of your blood pressure in a holistic fashion. Autoimmune Disease and the GI microbiome (gut health) There is a newly recognized link between the gastrointestinal bacteria “gut flora” and your overall health, specifically autoimmune disease. The incidence of inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease), rheumatoid arthritis, and type I diabetes is up 400% in the last 100 years and mostly in industrialized countries of Europe and the USA.

Autoimmunity

If you are newly diagnosed with optic neuritis/ multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, type I diabetes, ulcerative colitis/ Crohn’s disease, you should have an evaluation of your gastrointestinal health as this is probably is linked to the manifestation of your genes.
